Sleepy Sunday, Vol. 14

One of the great things about Sleepy LaBeef, national treasure, is his ability go seamlessly from rock to country to gospel to the blues.

Today, we make the last stop on that train. The blues.

Sleepy recorded this cut at Singleton Sound Studio in Nashville on May 16, 1974. It’s a cover, of course, of the classic T-Bone Walker tune from 1947.

“Stormy Monday Blues,” Sleepy LaBeef, from “A Rockin’ Decade,” 1997.
