About us

I was a kid in the ’60s. I went to high school and college in the ’70s. I settled down in the late ’80s, by then having swilled enough beer to last a lifetime. Our son arrived in the mid-’90s. I still have way more albums than CDs. Make of that what you will.

Love your blog. I am now caught up and look for it each day. Happy B-Day to your Dad. My love to Janet. I can’t believe Evan is 12!!!! Thanks to you, I have burned some Sleepy LeBeef tunes that had been long forgotten. Talk to you soon.

Every season the Madison Mallards have sevral ex-big leaguers play an exhibition game with some former Mallards and other Madison baseball oldies from the days of the Mad Hatters and the Muskies. Last year Jim Gantner (manager of the Wausau Woodchucks) played along with Bill Lee, Vida Blue, Ryne Duren, Harmon Killebrew, Steve Trout and Dave Kingman (who hit a majestic shot to left that brought tears to the eyes of everyone over the age of 45 in attendance). This year many of the same “old favorites” will be there again. Have a great vacation and good luck in the marathon.
